Blah!

Hi folks,

I'm bored...can you tell? Hehe, no really though. I don't have anybody to talk to at the moment and an hour before I have to go to work. I'm just vegging for lack of motivation to get up and do anything else. Eh...I woke up at like 8am this morning...and I've got a 12 hour shift tonight which means I won't get home till 8 or 9am tomorrow, which means no sleep for me! I hate being up 24 hours. *sigh* I'm already feeling sleepy and I haven't even gone to work yet.

So...it's only a couple weeks till my boyfriend and I have our 1 year anniversary. Pretty cool, huh? Yup! I bought him a card, which I need to start writing in, but I want to think up something really spiffy to say first. I'll probably just end up rambling though, lol. I know what I'm gonna get him for his birthday though! He's gonna like it, I think. No, I know! hehe

Of course now I dunno what I'll get him for Christmas... But at least I've got a couple months to figure that out, hehe.

So...I've run out of crap to say, so I'm off. Maybe I'll do a sketch for dA or something. Or...just try to stay awake maybe. Yeah.. *gulps coffee*

Back to Bloggness

I've been neglecting this...bad me.

Actually I've been working too much. Six nights in a row...ugh. I haven't felt like doing anything after work, much less writing about how tired I am, lol. Lucky for me, I'm off tomorrow night...er *looks at time* tonight, that is.

I do have that ENT appointment today...in 1.5 hours, actually. I'm sooo much better! I've been using the eardrops and creme I was given three times a day since last Wed. and I've been flushing my ears out with vinegar and distilled water before I put the drops in, and I've maintained my hearing all week. I'm so happy, after over a month of being hearing impaired I can hear again! I just hope it doesn't come back when I'm done with this treatment.

What else? Let's see.... Well, I had my Sunquest class today. That's the lab order entry/look-up program at work. What a waste of time, as I already knew how to use it, really. Ugh. Oh well...

Oh! And I finally got a cell phone! Whee! I've been stealing my dad's all this time, but he's got some dumb plan where it's only like $10 a month, but then you pay out the nose for every call you make or get. I got a plan that lets me call for things other than emergencies. The bestest part is, I get free long distance which includes Canada, so that means I can call Mike without incurring charges over my monthly access fee. And if I call him after 9pm or on the weekend, we can talk as long as we want! ^^

I think I can get free IM too....like 100 per month or something. I'll have to check into it.

I think I've run out of stuff to say, really. I'm just killing time waiting to go to the doctor's office. As I said, I'll be going in an hour and a half or so, so no point in going to bed now. Last time I went it took forever getting there due to an accident on the freeway and construction on the exit ramp (causing me to temporarily get lost), so I'm giving myself an hour to get there (should only take 20 mintues with perfect traffic conditions). Hopefully I'll just end up getting there way early and reading a book while I wait. That's so much less crappy than being stuck in a traffic jam of Doom.

I'm rambling now, so I'ma go do.....something... Damn! Too late to watch ESB :(

I can hear!

I went to the ENT doctor yesterday morning and he said the ear drops haven't been getting down into my ear very well because they were so full of infection junk. He sucked all the junk out (which hurt....alot) and I could hear again! w00!

Now I have stronger ear drops and a creme for my ears and I am to flush them out with vinager and distilled water before I instill the drops so they can get down into my ear. I go back to the doc's in a week to have my ears vacuumed out again, lol.

So yay! Maybe I'll finally be done with this infection fiasco! *crosses fingers*

Another Day, Another Post

Today was the day of No Sleep. I, being strange and dumb, decided to stay up till 9am so I could go purchase the Star Wars DVD set which came out today. So, I did. Then I decided to go ahead and buy license plates for my new car, since the temp tag runs out in a week. By the time all that was done, and I'd got home and into bed, it was nearly noon. Then I got woken up at 3pm to take my brother to get e-check, since he didn't know where it was (of course, I didn't either, but that didn't seem to matter to mom). By the time that was done, it was a quarter after 5pm. Having only had 3 hours of sleep, I went back for a nap. I managed 1 hour before it was dinnertime, and then my dad took me downtown to help me find the doctor's office I have to go to tomorrow. (I never go downtown and all those one-way streets confuzzle me. I have no sense of direction whatsoever.)

Speaking of which, my appt. with the ENT doc is tomorrow. I hope I'm getting worked up over nothing, but as they say in SW, " I have a bad feeling about this." Besides, since it's downtown, I have to park in a garage... I always have terrible luck with parking garages :(

But enough whining! Back to the DVDs! *drools over them* I got the widescreen ones....*pets the pretty, shiny, silver box* I've only watched A New Hope so far (the best of the SW movies by far) and they didn't mess with it too much. I still dislike the overabundance of rhontos and other monsters in Mos Eisley (Mike is probably chuckling at that...or cackling evilly :p), but I like the fact that they redid Jaba. He looks better now, though as Mike pointed out, Han is talking to Jabba's chin :p

I still think we the fans should have the opportunity to own the Original movies on DVD. I know many people, myself included, who would purchase both. That's.....*counts on fingers* Double the money going to Lucasfilm! :p At least I have my original movie VCR tapes... *guards them with her life* Only problem is, I'm afraid to watch them for fear they will wear out, or get chewed up (happened to my ROTJ...luckily I was able to buy a replacement for it), and be lost to me forever.

Yes, I am hopeless. =D

Pointless Post

Okay, I've decided to trial this a bit longer, as it's not as difficult as I had previously thought. Unfortunately nothing has really happened that I haven't already written out at my deviantArt journal.

I've mainly just been hanging out all day chatting with Mike, and there's nothing I'd rather be doing. Well...except perhaps sitting in Mike's lap making out with him, hehehe.... Umm....yeah.

So I still can't hear, and for anyone who bothers reading this who didn't know, for the past month and 2 weeks, I have had greatly diminished hearing due to a series of ear infections which just. won't. die. I'm going to a specialist on wednesday, an ear nose throat doctor, and I'm scared to death of what he's gonna say/do.

• Shove a needle through my ear drum and suck junk out?


• Tell me I need surgery to have tubes placed in my ears?


• Or worst of all, tell me the damage is permanent and there's nothing can be done about it.

Hopefully I'm worried over nothing, but after a month and a half of not being able to hear, I'm starting to get a little frantic.

First Post

Okay, so everybody has blog but me, so I decided to give it a go. Why not? It is nearly 6am and I'm sitting alone in the dark with nothing better to do, hehe. That's what I get for working night shift, I guess. Oh well!
I haven't quite figured this crazy blog out yet. I figured it'd be simpler somehow, yet it's far more confuzzling to me than just writing up html and posting it to a website....however, I am too lazy for that.
So, this is a test post, for the most part. I'll see how it goes, and if I like it, I'll follow up with a real post that peers into the deepest depths of my dark soul *cackles* ...... Er, yeah.
